Anyone receiving State or Federal assistance like:
- Federal Public Housing Assistance or Section 8
- CalFresh, Food Stamps, or Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
- Medicaid/Medi-Cal
- Healthy Families Category A
- Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program
- (LIHEAP)
- Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
- Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC)
- Veterans & Survivor Benefits
- Greater Avenues for Independence (GAIN)
- Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) also called: (CalWORKS, StanWORKS, WTW, GAIN)
- California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKs)
- Stanislaus Count Work Opportunity and Responsibilitv to Kids (StanWORKs)
- Welfare-to-Work (WTW)
- Federal Pell Grant Recipient in current award year
- Tribal TANF
- Bureau of Indian Affairs General Assistance
- Head Start Income Eligible (Tribal Only)
- Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservation
- Welfare-to-WorHead Start Income Eligible (Tribal Only)
- Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservation
Eligibility Requirements
MUST be receiving federal or state assistance.
(Medicaid. SNAP. Food Stamps. SSI. etc.)
MUST have valid I.D,
(If it an out-of-state issued ID, a DSHS benefit award letter and social security card MUST also be presented to the Assurance Wireless representative, at the of the service.)
MUST have Social Security Number
Please Note: Additional documentation may be requested for eligibility verification once the Lifeline application has been submitted through the National Verifier. Please bring benefits awards letter, or proof of benefit when possible.
